Klosterkäse
This delicately creamy speciality in double cream was named after the Steingaden monastery, founded in 1147, which still gives the place where the Schönegg cheese delicacies mature its charm and idyll today. The cheese is adorned with a picture that goes back to a copper engraving by the artist Matthäus Merian. It shows the monastery around 1644.

Cream and light aromas of malt determine the fragrance. The mild flavor of buttermilk, cream, and boiled potatoes is rounded off by slight peaks of malt. |

Monastery cheese and Milky Oolong tea: The soft sweet-milky taste makes it a perfect companion. It absorbs the lactic acid of the cheese well, enhances its creamy notes and thus inspires a pleasant mouthfeel. |
