The coarse and dark surface of this cheese is reminiscent of volcanic rock, the rich orange inside reflects the hot magma. The volcanic cheese is characterized by a slight spiciness on the rind, which dissolves quickly in the creamy, soft cheese dough. The natural rind is refined on the outside with black cumin, pepper and chilli and is suitable for consumption.
